Hi Nancy,
First, I would like to Welcome you
to the GPDD!! Second, I would like
to say that my first two piggies
were solo-pigs and they were totally
Fine. I lived alone at the time. I
also worked full-time. When I was
home, I would let them be free range
and they both Loved it. I gave them
a ton of Attention and every night
at nighttime, I would bring their
cage into my bedroom. Both of my
solo-pigs Loved bedtime cuddle time
and I would hold them for as long as
I could until I got too tired and then
I would put them back in the cage.

Now, I'm gonna tell you about Pig #3:
Brownie Bear. She is totally
different than my previous 2 pigs.
She was a solo-pig for 2 years/9 months,
but she never seemed like a Happy pig.
And I just kept giving her more and
more and more, so she is Spoiled Rotten
and she's a free range piggie. But,
still something was missing. I gave
her lots of Attention, but it didn't
matter. She Really did need Piggie
Companionship. It took me months, but
I finally convinced my Hubby to let
us open our home to a new pig. So,
wheeeeeee got Butterscotch and he's
lived with us for over 7 months now
and Brownie Bear is sooooo much more
Happier. She's more Alive. She actually
Purrrrrs now. The only thing I regret
is not getting her a friend sooner.

So, if you do decide to get only one
pig, just give him lots of love and
attention. And watch his behavior. If
he seems depressed and is not active,
then he probably needs a friend.

Oh, and I think that traveling stresses
some pigs out, while it doesn't bother
other pigs (like our Famous Rodeo Bud).
It really depends on the pig.

Again, WELCOME to the Digest!!! Wheeeee
can't wait to hear more about you and
your Future Pig(s)!!!

       Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeps,
         Leah...Slave to BB & BS :-)
