[Gpdd] <health> scurvy? fits?

Hi everyone,
I don't write often..but I am always reading and appreciate all the advise and stories!

I have a question about my little man...
He has been suffering from "dry skin" for a while now.  I recently took him to an exotic vet and he thinks he has a touch of scurvy.  I have been giving him straight vit. c in a dropper everyday per the vet but his symptoms are still happening:

He has itchy skin that when you scratch him enough he goes into "fit"..he becomes stiff and twisted. I can pull his hair out too with flakes attached.  

 He has induced this fit on his own even a few times and I have found him on his back.  He comes out in a second or two..but it is really concerning me.  I read on Peter Gurney that this sort of thing can be a sign of a fungal infection affecting the system, but my vet doesn't see signs of a fungal infection.  He has had some looser poo the last week or so as well...

Any ideas? Does this sound like scurvy to you guys?
