[Gpdd] Health:chloramphenicol for piggie

Hi there,
I am in Mississippi and my vet has no problem obtaining chloramphenicol. My little Jojo just finished a course of it for pneumonia and it worked very well, no adverse effects at all, but I did give her acidophilus as a probiotic just in case of tummy upset. The bottle said chloramphenicol suspension and it appeared to be tablets which had been crushed very fine and mixed with a liquid--I had to shake it vigorously before each dose. Also it smells HORRIBLE! But I just gave Jojo an extra parsley sprig to take the taste out of her mouth and she didnt seem to mind too much!
