[Gpdd] Misc: Pigsitting Cost

Lisa,
I don't know about prices in Alaska,
but in Virginia, I paid a Petsitting
Service to come in and care for my
Beloved Brittney Lea $5 per visit.
And since B-Lea was a Special Needs
Piggie, I had the lady come by my apt
twice a day (and put ointment in his
eye, etc). So, it cost me $10 bucks
a day.

Now, when I leave my current piggies
at Mary's Piggie Camp, I pay her $10
a day (although Mary tells me not to
pay her) because since Brownie Bear
is so high-maintenance, I wouldn't
expect anyone to deal with her for
free. Plus, it's sort of my way of
saying 'Thank You' for putting up with
my Bratty Pigs. ha ha

Now, I'm not expert but I would think
that $150-200 for the entire month would
be fair, but I understand not everyone
has that kind of $money$ to dish out.
She should talk to the perspective
pig-sitters and maybe they can arrange
something like she could pig-sit for
them in the future in return. Personally,
I don't take money when I piggie-sit. I
like having more pigs in the house because
my pigs have such a Good time when they
have more friends to play with.

   Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeps,
    Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear
                 & Butterscotch :-)
