Hello Slaves!
Well, Brownie Bear's vet appt went very well
last night. She had the usual--exam (re-check),
urinalysis, and x-rays. And so, Dr. Campbell
showed me her last x-rays and compared it
with yesterday's x-rays, and well, I guess I've
already given it away by the title of this post,
but...

Brownie Bear Passed 2 of the 4 bladder stones!!
At first, I was bummed that she only passed 2
of them, but then the Vet told me that sometimes
it can take a while (like literally months), and to
not be discouraged.

Also, the other Vet that I had to see the last time
(b/c Dr. Campbelll was all booked up) had sort-of
given me some misinformation at the last appt.
Like, she said that there was a stone getting
ready to pass, and I pointed that out to Dr. C on
the x-ray, but she didn't believe that was a stone.
And also, the other Vet said that the largest stone
might be too big to pass, but Dr. C didn't seem
to think that it was that big. She said that all 4
stones were pretty tiny and definitely pass-able.

Oh, and also, Janelle will be Happy to hear this,
but the largest stone had SHRUNK!!! Do ya'll
remember when 2 of Janelle's Piggies had stones
that shrank??? I asked Dr. C if she thought that
the Shilintong shrank the bladder stones, but she
wasn't sure if it was the Shilintong, or maybe
just the combination of things that I'm doing (like
the extra water intake and Lasix). She said that
the bigger stone had dissolved some and that
was why it had shrank.

Ya know, the strange thing is---I think I know
Exactly when Brownie Bear passed those 2
stones. In the last couple of wheeks, I can
distinctively remember 2 times (on 2 different
days) when I heard BB let out the most Terrifying
scream when she urinated. But, the thing is--I
checked her area when I heard that noise both
times, and I didn't see any evidence of a stone
or sludge. Soooooooo... ??? I don't know, but
I remember those screams like it was yesterday,
and it scared the "beep" out of me!

So, anyways, I just wanted to share the good
news with ya'll. I'm trying to focus on the good
and not the bad. I mean, I know she still has
2 bladder stones, but the fact that she has
passed 2 stones is Wonderful! Also, I told Dr. C
that I was worried about surgery on my Bear.
And she said that BB should be able to pass
the stones and not even have to worry about
going through surgery. That was the BEST news
ever!

Again, Thank You for keeping my little girl in
your thoughts and prayers...

      Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeps,
           Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear &
                                       Butterscotch :-)
