I am sad to say, my sweet and precious Cupcakers made his last and final trip shortly before midnight.  I held him in my arms and told him it was okay to let go.  I knew he couldn't go on much longer fighting.  I just had him to the vet earlier in the afternoon, because of my selfishness, I didn't want to give up and let him go.  I knew last night was it, as he gasped for air those last couple hours.  I am glad that he can now be at peace but heartbroken that he left.
 
I love you Cupcakers, you will never be forgotten.  We all miss you so much.
 
I wrote this shortly after his trip to the Bridge as he layed in my arms.
 
Silver and white like glitter in the snow,
You came into my life simply so.
At the time I didn't know
You would secretly steal my heart.
Now you have to go all so soon,
Our time together was just too short.
I'll never forget all those wheeks and cute little squeaks,
Nor your little begging eyes.
It is now time for you to fly,
So go, I'll say my goodbyes.
One day, we'll meet again
When it is my time to greet you on the other end.
 
RIP my sweet Cupcakers.  May you find the best fields of clover and parsley.
 
I'll never forget you.  I'll always love you.
