[Gpdd] Health - Update on Sweetie Pie

Well, now I am not so sure about my vet.  He called with the biopsy results on the tumor, and told me it wasn't a tumor at all, it was a cystic inflammation.  He used some big words for it.  Its not fluid filled, so they can't drain it, but he said that a couple courses of antibiotics should clear it up.  I would have thought that a vet would be able to tell the difference, but maybe a tumor and this cystic inflammation are very similar, round firm bulge in the mammary area.  The good news, its not cancer, and we shouldn't need to operate if the antibiotics work.  I hope they will.  He said we shouldn't need to operate even if it takes a while for the lump to go down, because its not hurting her or causing her behavior to change.  She eats, drinks, and moves like normal.  I am so re-leaved!  Thanks for all of the advise on treatment, and all of the reassurance.  I am especially grateful for the medicine advise in the last digest, the people who have to give a lot of meds and how that gets easier over time.  Thanks for the prayers, and I will keep posting.
