Well, the problem with rinds is that their little grooves will hold in any
pesticides used to grow the fruit. I wouldn't feed it to my piggies or bunnies
for that reason alone, even with careful scrubbing.
Its supposedly the same with berries and why you aren't supposed to feed
things like the tops of strawberries. If you buy organic, then you don't have to
worry.
