Rachel,
I am scooping poops every single day, just like you. There seems to be an 
endless supply. Depending on how big your cage is cleaning it out completely 
every 4-5 days sounds fine. I clean mine out every 3rd day, it is completely 
soaked by then and the daily layer of bedding does not do its job any longer. 
My piggies get 3-4 baby carrots daily, and romaine lettuce, gras or dandelion 
leaves (when in season ). I do not feed them broccoli, cucumbers, peas or 
anything that could cause gas. Occasionally, they like a piece of apple. I stay 
away from everything that is acidly and could give them sores in their mouths 
like tomatoes, oranges. I would give them parsley and green peppers but they 
don't like it. Their main diet is Timothy hay, hard bread, pellets, and greens 
(2-3 leaves of romaine lettuce per pig, or a handful of gras or dandelion 
leaves in summer) and baby carrots. My piggies are doing wonderful on that diet.
