Hi all!

I just got a new arrival into my rescue yesterday. I think I am going to call him Fozzy. The previous owners relinquished him because when they got him from the pet store, they told the owners he was a she. So "she" was put in with their other female and after a year, the other female had some babies. When I looked at him, I could understand why they thought he was a girl because his penis was nowhere to be seen. So I checked him for impactions and he was horribly impacted. I cleaned him out and 30 piggy poos came flying out. Poor little guy... I do not blame the owners, I think they just don't know about the male's "goo gland" as I call it.

The problem I have is that his penis was basically stuck inside its sheath and I am having a very hard time cleaning it up. Partly because it seems to be uncomfortable for him because he bit me on several occasions while I was trying to help him and partly because the mineral oil I usually use is not working so well for this. So I need some suggestions. My next plan of action was to put his little hiney in some warm soapy water but I guess I need to know what kind of soap? The shampoo I usually use to bathe my piggies?

Thanks for the help!

Lisa and the gang at Wheeks and Squeaks (including Fozzy, the uncomfortable and horribly embarrassed new foster pig)
