Hi guys. BooBoo and Fugly send their morning weeeppppssss. I have seen my
guineas flat on their sides, feet stretched out, eyes closed, and almost
snoring. I think this is because BooBoo has been living alone with us for 2
years, and she feels safe. Now they don't do that if they are out. Fugly
is a little more manic. I have never seen her sprawled out like Booboo is.
She was a outside pig before we got her, so that is probably why. Regarding
bedding, I go to the 99 cent store and buy oven mitts. They are great
padding on the bottom of the pigloo, and if you get about 3 per pig, you can
change and wash them as needed. Both my girls love them, but Booboo being
the diva she is, drags hers out of the pigloo, and likes to sleep on the
bottom. I think that is because during the winter, I like to sleep with the
windows open, (I am in Southern California) and she has a heating pad set on
low under her bed. That way she does not get cold. I used to have a piggie
named Bailey who went over the bridge 2 years ago, that used to like me to
cut the end of the mitt off, and she would crawl inside. She looked like a
piggie sausage, but she would get in that with just her nose and the very
back of her butt sticking out, and sometimes just for fun she would roll
around in her mitt sausage. You could also carry her outside with that and
she was happy happy happy.
