I loved reading the stories about how guinea pigs rescued their slaves in different situations. I hesitate to write my story because I don't usually tell many people about it. If anyone else has any similar stories, please share.

I got my guinea pig, Cupcakers, from a local petstore for my daughter. Well as it turned out, I love guinea pigs probably more than she and I researched and researched them. It kept me busy when I didn't have anything else to do. Anyhow, I suffer from anxiety attacks (which I am on meds for) and I can not tell you how many times I have tried to get myself out of them usually without success. Well one night, everyone was in bed, including me, and I felt one coming on. I decided to get up and come downstairs to try to keep my mind off of it and I happened to walk into the guinea pig room where my Cupcakers started to wheek and he was standing up on his cage bars looking. It was the cutest little face. I picked up him and started to cuddle him and he began to lick my face. That night was the first of my guinea pigs rescuing me, saving me from myself, especially my beloved Cupcakers (may he RIP). If you are wondering, No, I did not have an attack that night. But if it weren't
for my Cupcakers, I most likely would have. From now on, when I am having a bad day, full of anxieties, I go straight to my rescuers, the pigs, and they always help me overcome any anxiety I have. I always give them extra treats after to tell them thanks for their help.
