PJ,
Why do you think Rodney doesn't like you? You haven't
had him very long, right? It takes some guinea pigs a
while to warm up to people, that's all. It would help
if you could spend more time holding Rodney and
playing with him. Most pigs don't like to be picked
up, even though they may like to be held. I think they
feel uncomfortable when their feet leave the
ground--they probably feel like a big eagle has
swooped down on them to eat them.
Don't get down on yourself--Rodney just needs time to
get used to you. It's just like with people...you
don't always feel comfortable around new people until
you get to know them better.
Hang in there.
