[Gpdd] Misc: Bridge: Remembering Amberlea...

Hello Slaves,
Today in the Year 2000, my Beloved
Amberlea passed away. :-( He was my
first guinea pig and the reason I
am so Crazy about them. I got him
from a local family-owned petstore
in Fredericksburg, Virginia as a
baby. He was about 8 wheeeeks old
and so Cute. I thought he was a girl
(which is why his name was Amberlea).
And I did everything wrong: he had
a tiny cage, I used pine bedding,
fed him alphalfa pellets with 'colored
stuff' in it, gave him unlimited
veggies, etc. etc. etc.

He was the Most LOYAL piggie I've
ever been a Slave to. He totally
thought he was my Boyfriend (just
like Bud thinks of Carla). He was
always Cuddly with me and he even
slept with me at night (until he
had to go potty and then I would
put him back in his cage for the
rest of the night). I kept his cage
right by my bed (which was also my
sofa). I lived in a studio apartment,
so my living room was my bedroom.

He was with me for 4 moves and we
practically grew up together. I
always knew what he was thinking
and what he wanted. He was my Baby.
He never once bit me. The only person
he ever bit was Blaine (my Hubby now,
but at the time he was my Boyfriend/
Booty Call). He was so Jealous of
Blaine, it was ridiculous. But, he
knew that he was Number One.

When he was 3 years old, he caught
pnemonia and despite all my efforts
(medicine, syringe-feeding, etc.),
I couldn't keep him alive. 

Well, I just wanted to share a little
about my Beloved Amberlea. He was my
First Love and Always Will Be...

Mommy Loves you, Amberlea and I promise
that wheee will meet up at The Bridge
one day.
