[Gpdd] announcement: new piggy on the block

hello, i am a new comer to gpdd and the net, i never thought i would be
so lucky to find so much about guinea pigs on line. this is great.  we
got our latest little boy pubert ( his Dad is a big addams family fan)
was adopted from a vet run shelter and is doing great.  he prefers to
be called Bert and is about 1 to 1 1/2 years old.  when we travel we
put him in his sleeping cage, which is like the one mentioned in the
letter today (jan20). he sleeps in it in our bed room at night so is
use to it and doesn't seem to mind the trips. he isn't a very nervous
type but i think sleeping in the cage makes it easier on him when he
has to travel in it.  it has all the same food dishes and water bottle
as he is use to having every night.  our last piggy the mighty mavis
was at least 6 when she crossed the bridge( we got her "used" also) and
 we made the misstake of not getting another for several years as we
felt that we would never be lucky enough to get another piggy like her.
No one will ever be like mavis but Bert is just as sweet and lovey in
his own way.
