Hello Everyone

This is the letter I am sending the principle of
Ledgemont High School, Beto Gage.

Dawnda

I am greatly disturbed by your student being allowed
to buy a pet shop pet and kill it for a school
project. If the teacher had not assigned this
animal-eating assignment, he would not have felt the
need to go buy a pet to kill. Why is this kind of
class allowed in public schools? What happened to
reading, writing, and arithmetic? Students are
graduating from high schools that can’t read, but they
know how to kill a white pet rabbit.

He further mutilated the animal in the school parking
lot by slicing the rabbit’s throat. That is animal
abuse and I have seen an alarming increase in this in
juveniles. It is more alarming that he is not
receiving any punishment for this brutality. The
teacher should not be allowed to continue with this
kind of activity in the classroom, as well.

This boy needs to realize that what he has done is
wrong! There is right and wrong and our children are
loosing the insight to tell the difference. If hunters
want to shoot a rabbit for food, that is fine. This
was not a wild hunting rabbit. It was raised as a pet
and is now robbed of the joy of having a loving and
caring owner.
