Vicki, Abby and Buffy,
I use towels for my piggies and I
don't have too much of a problem with
my pigs chewing the towels up. My
Brownie Bear used to chew on them a
little bit (I think for attention),
but she evenually stopped doing that.
And Butterscotch doesn't seem to be
much interested in chewing them up
(because he's usually more interested
in Brownie Bear).

I use a variety of different types
of towels for my pigs. I have a bunch
from Hecht's (more $expensive$) and
also I have lots of towels from Walmart
and Target (much $cheaper$). They all
pretty much work the same, except the
more expensive ones will last longer.

Also, just in case they do choose to
chew on the towels, I use environment-
friendly washing detergent. I use a
brand called 'Seventh Generation Free
& Clear'. It's a bit $pricey$, but well
worth it for the peace of mind.

Well, I hope that helps some.

   Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeps,
     Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear &
                      Butterscotch :-)

"...Recently I have read with interest of people using
towels for their piggies. I have plenty of old ones
which the dog uses at the moment but Tina said the
piggies could have them if they wish! But i'm
concerned about them chewing the towels (as when abby
comes in for her drops she sits on a towel and she
bites the towel and then pulls and pulls at a single
tread but i stop her before she trys to actually eat
it. So, I'm worried about them swallowing fibres and
having them damage their insides. Is there a
particular type of towel people use?
