Do you have a vet?  If not, this would be a good time to get one. That's what we did.
After reading about some of the difficulties others have had, we contacted a local vet.
When I found he only charged $7 per pig to trim their nails, I made appt.s for them.
This way they become familiar with each other, he can check them over for any 
other obvious problems, and I can ask questions. And we have a friend to go to in
an emergency. (we also made friends with the girls in the office, at least one of 
them now being a fellow slave!)
