Absolutely - there should *always* been a supply of fresh hay. It's not
that it is particularly nutritious (it isn't), but it is vitally important
for roughage (keeping tummies working) and very, very important for teeth
(keeping them worn down). You do not want to limit access to hay, or you
might find piggy's teeth over-growing. I use a "manger" at piggy level,
to keep the hay off the floor, clean and fresh, and also put some on the
floor eating, playing, hiding, resting on, etc. I also use "safe bed"
(which is strips of soft white vegetable material, but looks like soft
paper) for piggy bedding as well as hay, and they seem to like that too.
Make sure piggy always has plenty of hay!
