It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I report that Ginny
died at 6:00 a.m. this morning in my arms. It seemed that on top of
her jaw problems and the lump she developed head tilt last night which
continued to get worse throughout the night. It seems her poor little
body just couldn't contain such a great spirit. She will be missed by
many. She would accompany me to my Adult Bat Mitzvah class every
Wednesday night where 15 women would dote on her while we learned
Hebrew and studied the Torah. I have not yet told them. We are on
summer break and they were actually all praying for her during her
illness. Satchel, Ginny's mate, seems to be ok. We will look into
adopting 1 or 2 guinea pigs for Satchel (and us) in the near future.
I've asked Ginny to send some our way. I do take some comfort in that
I stayed up all night with Ginny so she was never alone and Dan woke up
right before she passed to be with her too. Our original plan was for
me to stay up with her and then he would take her to the vet at 7:00
a.m. at which time I would go to sleep and then he would come home to
go back to sleep (he works evening/night shift). But it wasn't to be.
I will still have her image added to my tattoo in the next week or so.
Thank you to everyone who prayed for Ginny and sent their positive
thoughts her way. We never did get to take pictures of her with her
spring gift. A big Thank You to Bryn, Patch, Koko, Jojo, and Elvis for
being Ginny's back-up secret Spring Pals. We all appreciated your
being so thoughtful. We are going to miss Ginny with all our heart and
soul. We love you Ginny!!!!

Satchel (guinea pig)
Ida and Jasmine (cats)
Polly, Sophie and Hazel (rabbits)
