I found this poem in my files, so wonderful I thought I'd send it to the
list again.

 

Ode to the Guinea Pig

 

Oh guinea pigs, what noble creatures!

Blessed with all the finest features.

Silken fur from tail to muzzle,

Trained from birth to squeak and nuzzle.

Potato shaped,

Prepared to nap

On anyone's awaiting lap.

With carrots raised, let's dance a jig,

In honor of the guinea pig!
