[Gpdd] MISC.-pregnancy & cats

Hi all! I was reading the post about pregnancy & gardening if there is cats in your neighborhood. We have alot of neighbors who unfortunately let their cats run loose outside. One cat in particular has kind of become our little foster cat. Our neighbors don't take care of him, so he hangs around with us alot. Anyway, my question is why do you have to wear gloves? My husband & I are trying to get pregnant & I garden ALOT. I never wear gloves so now I'm kinda worried. What could happen if I don't wear gloves? Sorry I'm kinda neurotic! I've never heard about this before.
Also Colleen it's good to hear from you again! I've been wondering how you were doing. Hope all is well.
