My Nuage has an extra toe on one of her back feet, attached by a thread of  
skin, like that of your piggie. When I rescued her it had a ball of faeces  
wrapped round it which I had to gently remove with warm water and cotton buds,  
but since then it has caused her no problems at all. It does not have a claw. I 
 would not have it removed because I have no access to a GP-savvy vet here.
 
Several of my piggies have an extra toe on their front feet, these with  
claws, but they cause no problems. I think they are the result of inbreeding, as  
they were bred by a very unscrupulous French woman.
