baby. 

Guinea pigs can have allergies and Asthma. I had one
with allergies. She took antibiotics for the flare up.
A sulfa-based antibiotic.

Sorry to hear about your dog too. Is he on steroids?
They usually try some meds before they consider
removing the spleen. Dog do not do as well with a
spleenectomy as humans do.
