Madi,
I'm sure you know that any surgery
is going to be a risk. But, if your
piggie is in overall good health and
you have an experienced Vet (which it
sounds like you do), then the Success
rate is higher. It's obvious that you
are doing all the Right things for
your baby.

My Brownie Bear was spayed when her
bladder stones were removed. She was
2 years/1 month old at the time. When
I picked her up at the Vet, she was still
a little groggy. Wheeeee had a long two
hour drive home (in the rain), but whee
made it and after I got her situated,
I gave her some diced cucumber pieces
and she ate it right up. That was a good
sign. The Vet had given me Baytril
(antibiotic to fight off any infection)
and Metacam (for pain). Definitely take
home a pain medication. Also, I kept her
on towels (I had used CareFresh up until
that point, but I didn't want the bedding
to disturb her incision/stitches).

I hope that the surgery goes well next
wheeeeek and that Buffy is feeling like
her 'ole self in no time! Brownie Bear,
Butterscotch, and I will be keeping her
in our thoughts and Prayers...

   Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeeps,
      Leah...Slave to BB & BS :-)
