hi every piggie and slave

i've noticed a bit of discussion on syringe feeding lately and i thought i'd
add my two cents as well. sally was quite ill last month and not drinking,
not that she ever drank much before, hence part of the problem. in order to
hydrate her i started syringe feeding her liquids. as plain water doesn't
turn her fancy either i use carrot juice diluted with lots of water. now she
loves the stuff and a 1cc syringe took forever to get the liquid into her so
now i use either a 3cc or 10cc syringe with a bit of flexible clear plumbing
tubing attached to the end so that she can get her mouth around it. the
tubing is just from the local hardware store and costs about 20 cents per
foot. the size is perfect to fit snuggly around the end of tip, she hasn't
been able to tug one off yet! (if it is being stubborn just run it under hot
water for a second and it will slip on). i usually leave the the piece a bit
longer as sally tends to chew the end a bit, when it starts to get ratty i
just snip it off and continue on.

wishing health and happiness to all piggies and their parents

martha and sally

please excuse any grammatical errors and the absence of capitals as i have
broken my arm. oops.
