I'm also 26 and have been married 4 years.  I want to
have human kids eventually because I've always loved
kids, but I love my furbabies too and if they make you
happy, good!  My parents actually are quite fine with
the grand-piggy concept- they started it, not me. 
They have pictures of my boys up on their
refrigerator.  Anyway, I just wanted to say that if
you're happy with pets and like your life that way,
good for you.  Have human kids if you want them, or
not if you don't.  You sound like you have a great
life to me :-)

I have noticed that a few people seem to not have
human kids in this
group. I am 26 and have always loved animals all my
life and I have
never had a strong need to want children. I am
wondering if others feel
this way in this group. I love my pets so much and
they make me happy 
to
where kids are not even on my mind, my parents think I
will change my
mind but I really don't want any. Even as a child I
did not even like
dolls, I wanted stuffed animals. I also like the way
my life is and
maybe I don't want change. I like my job and coming
home to my furry
kids. I think about my guinea pig Reba when I am at
work and can't wait
to see her when I get home. My dogs and cats make a
mess but I love 
them
just the same. 
I still have time to change my mind with human kids or
not but my
husband & I feel the same about this. We have been
married for 5 years
now and you know how family can be if you haven't had
kids after that
long. I tell my parents all the time, "You got furry
grand children."
They look at me weird after that.
