[Gpdd] care-- neutering

I'm having my male Harvey, neutered next week. I feel terrible about having this done to him. I have a female, Kiki, as well. Right now they are in separate cages in different rooms and I think they are lonely. I am hoping that by having Harvey neutered, I will be able to gradually put them together.  My vet is experienced and thinks there will be no problem. Any opinions will be appreciated.             joanne
