Jim- I remember hearing about Speedy's disagreement with you ;-)
sounds like a painful lesson! But a good one to share. Another
good reason to have a helper, I suppose.

As for the emergency procedures, I used to try to have necessary
carriers (back then I only needed 2!) along with some emergency
supplies handy next to the pigs in case we had to make a mad
dash from the apartment. Now I'd have to 'double park' some pigs
to get them all out in 4 carriers! (although that would mean fewer
trips out)  But an emergency kit would be good to develop as well;
your normal first aid stuff, including wipes and styptic powder, droppers
and syringes, peroxide, etc, plus bottled water, small pkgs of feed,
towels, maybe a weather radio, and of course, duct tape (hey, you
never know!). We should gather suggestions and create an
Emergency Piggie Box. Everypig can discuss this at the Pignics
over the wheekend (when they have a slow moment), but have
someone take notes so it isn't forgotten! Better add some treats
to that box!
Speaking of treats, gotta run offer those babies some treats! They are
already diving into the Buffet dish the minute I set it down, so I have to
give them extra lettuce. The one we call Bullett, who looks and acts so
much like his dad, Hotshot, even sits up and wheeks for it now! He's
quite the little character, trying to act so grown up!
I'd better go keep an eye on those bigpigs, they'll be trying to slip out
early to head for the RVstop! I think Snowy has decided to wear her
hotpink moomoo with matching straw hat on the trip, but I notice she's
packed her red lace lingerie! Look out boys!
Wheeks!
