Jaime,
We are keeping our fingers (and paws)
crossed that Albert continues to get
well. He's been through so much these
past couple of weeks, Poor Baby. Also,
I asked the Digest about distilled water for
my Brownie Bear a long time ago, and for
the life of me, I can't remember why it
is bad (except for the fact that distilled
water has been stripped of nutrients and
minerals). So, I immediately stopped
giving it to B-Bear. Also, I know we (slaves)
tend to blame ourselves when things go
wrong with our piggies, but please don't.
You're an AWESOME Slave and you have
done nothing but be the Best caretaker
you can be with Albert. And I don't care
what you say, but I would Love to come
back as your guinea pig. :-)

I mean, well, just like many of us (like
our Beloved Prince's slaves), we used
to do things in the past that later we found
out maybe wasn't the best thing for our
pigs. But, heck! Prince lived to be 9 years/
7 months, so who's to say??? I kept my
first 2 pigs in a cage that was waaaaaaay
too small, and I fed them both Vitta Vittles
Gold (an alphafa-based pellet with colored
crap it in). And I fed Brownie Bear the same
pellets in the beginning, and then she got bladder
stones at age 2. Ah man, did I feel guilty, because
I felt like the reason she got the bladder stones
was because of the diet that I had her on in
the early years. Guilt...Guilt...Guilt. Well,
I totally changed her diet, and made it completely
stone-piggie friendly...and here whee are,
almost 2 years later, and she has bladder
stones Again (Sigh!). So, what did I do wrong?!?

Some pigs are just more prone to getting
stones and there is nothing we can do about
that, but give the Best care possible. And that
is what you have done in the past, and are
continuing to do. And don't you forget that!

Healing Wheeeeks to your Adorable Albert...

   Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeeps,
       Brownie Bear, Butterscotch,
              and me :-)
