Hey Link!
Actually, that recipe is what Janelle
gives her piggies. I have never used
Cosequin for Cats and I only give my
Brownie Bear 2-3 drops of Metacam
per day (when I hear her cry/whine
when she pee's).

I hope your Sandy is feeling better
soon and that the Baytril is working.
Did your Vet do a Urinalysis? and
what did he/she find?

Oh, and I'm not sure where people
get the Cosequin, but I would think
from a Vet. I get the Metacam from
B-Bear's and B'scotch's Vet.

Ya know, my B-Bear is a sludge
piggie and the Shilintong has definitely
helped her. Also, I give her Lasix
every few days which is a diurectic
and that helps in flushing the demons
out (i.e. the bladder sludge).

Brownie Bear had bladder stone
surgery back in December 2003,
so I'm trying really hard to keep her
stone-free. She had the Calcium
Carbonate type of stone which is
usually recurring. Well, so far so
good, I suppose.

I'm sure you already know this,
but encourage your Sandy to drink
lots of water. The water helps to
flush the bladder sludge. My Bear
doesn't drink enough water, so I
have to syringe her extra water.
The things wheee do for our Masters...

Give Sandy some Extra Hugs and
Piggie Kisses from me and my Crew!!

   Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeps,
      Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear
                            & Butterscotch :-)
