Lisa B ~

Please stop beating yourself up about Flint just as I am trying to not
beat myself up anymore about the "what ifs" where Kandee and Kack are
concerned. I am sure you did what you thought was appropriate at the
time based on Flint's behavior. We all know that the piggies can go
downhill very quickly and so we need to keep an eye on them when they
are not eating, etc. However, as my vet says, it is their natural
instinct to hide any illnesses or injuries since any show of weakness in
the wild could be life threatening. Even though they are domesticated,
they don't lose those instincts for self-preservation. It is soooo
obvious how much you loved this little guy, that you would have done
anything to keep him well but you just couldn't really know what was
going on with him and that it was life threatening. Take heart that he
knew how much you loved him and would never do anything to hurt him.
Hindsight is 20/20; real time is not. Hang in there and try to focus on
the good times you had with Flint and the good times you'll have with
the girls!
