[Gpdd] Announcement: Write to the News Agenciesto Help the Katrina Animals!!!!

I donated money to HSUS a number of days ago, but has anyone even heard of  
any small animals besides dogs being rescued??? All we see are doggies on tv.  
Not even cats. I can't even think about all the poor other piggies, bunnies,  
birdies, hammies, mice, rats, gerbils, herps, etc., etc., that people left  
behind to just starve or drown. oh, goodness.  

My daughter just moved to New Orleans (yeah, lucky her - that's a story in  
itself) and she said everyone left cats behind because they could fend for  
themselves for a few days. She wouldn't have left **any** pets behind but she  
hadn't adopted any yet. The problem was that they were all told that they would  
come back after the hurricane. geesh. I wouldn't have listened to that line 
of  garbage but most people did. 
 
I am on lots of animal rights lists and the message below is a good one for  
getting your message to news agencies. We are trying to get them to cover the  
plight of animals. sigh... 
 
Try writing to all of the ones below. You can choose which area of each one  
to write to. I basically wrote to the major newscasts portion and not 
individual  shows.  Judi

Please email CNN and any other networks you can and ask them to report on  
the destiny of the animals left behind from the hurricane and on the rescue  
efforts to save them. This will help raise awareness and funds for these  animals.
