Hi!  I am glad you found your rabbit.  That must have been scary.  You should bathe him immediately.  The little fibers can make him itch and when he itches, it will get into his skin and may cause an infection.  Also, you might want to take him to the vet to have a once over and to have the vet listen to his lungs to be sure he is okay.  This stuff is horrible to breathe in.
