Thanks for sharing this story with a happy ending after all that's happened down  South!  It's almost impossible to imagine having to leave pets behind.  There's a story on CBS news about how some people smuggled their pets onto the buses that took them to Texas.  Now the local SPCA is very busy providing shelter until the pet owners have some place to and can take their pets with them.
