My little Elvis has that same problem. Off and on he has pinkish urine, but has never been symptomatic at all--no apparent pain or straining on urination, good appetite, playful. Twice he has been given a course of chloramphenicol, but since it continues to recur occasionally and he never seems sick, I am wondering if it could be food related. Recently I have been only giving him greens--no carrots and also no redleaf lettuce--and his urine is clear. Any ideas? I want to do what is best for him, but I don't want to give antibiotics needlessly.
Sincere condolences to all who have lost a dear piggie. I am not able to post often now, because I am still working many hours with the animals who could not be re-united with owners after Katrina, and also have a full time job. But I read the GPPD as often as I can and am always so sad to read that another has gone to Bridge.
For those who remember my sweet little senior piggie Bryn, I had to help her across the Bridge several week ago. She was 10 years old, and though her spirit was bright as ever, her little body had just worn out.
