[Gpdd] HEALTH: not eating & nutrition

I've seen people mention piggies not eating lately and thought I would share some
experiences and thoughts.

When Honey would not eat, I made her parsley juice by putting the clean parsley and
some water in a mini food processor. She liked this a lot. I mixed it with her
critical care since she did not like critical care. You could do the same with
tomatoes if they like them, or any "juicy" fruit or vegetable. This would be a good
way to get them their vitamin C. I don't think the mini food processors cost much --
most people use them to chop nuts with. It may be called a mini nut chopper.

Also, they need something for their gut flora, I know benebac is good but also there
is yogurt. I looked for the lowest calcium kind I could find. It was blueberry
flavored and she loved it. You might have to try different flavors. It is also hard
to find yogurt with fat and sugar, which I wanted for her weight. A lot of the yogurt
is diet. I would sweep the tip of the syringe through the yogurt, and while she was
sucking that off of the syringe, I would squirt some critical care in her mouth.
Sometimes you have to be tricky!

Honey had problems with her teeth but then she did not want to eat after they were
fixed, so I had to do this with her for a while.

I hope this will be helpful to someone.

Kind regards,
Bethany
