[Gpdd] CARE: olive oil or corn oil OK for piggz???

Hi Everyone and Everypiggy -

The paper shredder gave up the ghost while I was in Ohio (it gave tha Piggfather a hard time), so we had to get a new one.  The salesman told us that you should run an oiled sheet of paper through it every month to clean out dust and lubricate the blades (???).  I asked if, instead of buying their special oil or oiled papers, we could just sprinkle olive oil (or corn oil) on a piece of paper and run it through?

Does anyone know if this is OK for piggz?  The salesman also said that after the oiled sheet, you just run 2 or 3 clean sheets through and then the blades are all clean.  

I don't want to take any chances.
