[Gpdd] Rainbow Bridge: Hillary

Hillary was a rescue pig that passed very briefly through my life, but
has left a bigger dent in my heart than I could have ever predicted. She
was one of six pigs that I picked up from a local animal control to
transport to the guinea pig rescue where I so fervently hoped she would
find the good home that she deserved. Five of the pigs had been
impounded in a neglect case. Hillary, not a part of this group, had been
turned in by her owner who had been evicted. She was a little black and
white wisp of a thing, hardly heavier than a cloud, with a face that
could melt your heart. She stayed at my home less than 24 hours. She had
a shining personality....climbing the bars and flirting shamelessly, but
she was so little that I could feel her little ribs.  I heard from Rose
that she didn't make it. She was so malnourished that she didn't have
enough reserves to survive.
Hillary, I just wanted to let you know that your life did mean something
to someone. That I'm so sorry that you didn't find your forever home. I
know that you were met at the Bridge by many piggies friends that
greeted you with open loving paws. You will never be forgotten.
