Susi & the OPs,
I had to chuckle out loud when reading
about the entertaining Okie Piggies &
their silly watersports. You know how
my wacky pigs have a water bottle each
in both cages (4 total). But, they prefer
to drink from one side. Like, Brownie
Bear would Never be caught dead
drinking from the 'inferior' side. But,
Butterscotch will drink from that side
if BB refuses to give up her post. It's
wild to watch them bicker over the
'good' side--ha ha!

And now, B'scotch thinks that shilintong
is a Treat! I really haven't given him
any of that stuff because that's just
more work for me. But, he can smell
it on BB's breath (You stone slaves
know what that smell is like!). So, now,
I'll crush 3 tablets and mix with 3cc of
water and I'll syringe that to BB. Then,
I'll put more water with what's leftover.
So, it's pretty much shilintong-flavored
water. And I'll syringe BS over and over
and over again. And he's so frickin'
Hilarious, because he runs over to his
cage opening and I syringe him some.
And then he excitedly runs back over
to their food dish and eats pellets for a
few seconds...and then he runs back to
the cage opening begging for more!

Okay, I will have to say this--I have
never met a pig that got so Excited
about being syringe-fed something as
basic as water. And to not even have
to hold him in my lap while syringing...
It's insane to the membrane!
