Hi everyone - again,

Last week I had a sleepless night with Hamish; tonight it is with my
beloved soulmate - Archie. Hamish is coming along famously; back to
normal as far I'm concerned.

However, this avo my sister noticed Archie was not being a cheeky as
normal, and turns out he has similar symptoms are Hamish did - tremors,
unable to hold head up. He's still very interested in food. I believe
it is poisoning again - same as with Hamish - only this time I'm hoping
we caught it early enough as his symptoms don't seem as bad as with
Hamish. I've given him charcoal tablet, paraffin oil, vitamin C,
critical care (ongoing) and he's eaten fresh, (poison-free) grass,
parsley. He won't eat celery; but I just checked on him and he's eaten
a piece of tomato I placed at the door of his pigloo.

I've separated him from Hamish, got him snug in his pigloo and his foam
lounge suite (yep - my piggies get the best in furniture) and covered
him up for privacy. I keep checking, and so far so good. When he ate
the grass and parsley about 1 hour ago, he was very keen to eat but kept
getting exhausted from the effort and seemed to fall asleep mid-chew.
I'll feed him again in another hour or so; I also think rest is
important.

He will of course be going to the vet first thing tomorrow morning.

Please everyone and every piggy, pray for Archie and for me too -
because, stupid as this sounds, that pig has brought me through a lot of
trying times just by being himself, by cuddling me, my loving me,
brought me to smiles & laughter, helped me through bad times by making
me laugh - he really isn't a pig at all - more like a puppy actually!
He is my world, my soulmate. I lost my Teddy just after Christmas last
year; please pray I won't be saying farewell to Archie this Christmas -
I'm nearly at the end of my coping ability (I've got pneumonia and
partly collapsed lung too, so this isn't helping).

I don't know what the poisoning is a result of, but I have my suspicions
and if correct will send the GPDD another email tomorrow night after I
confirm my suspicions with the vet.

Julie & Archie, Dougall, Angus & Hamish
(Teddy, Muppet forever & ever part of my soul)
