Hi Debi,
I am so Sorry to hear that your
Buffy isn't doing so good. But,
from her ripe 'ole age of 8 years
old, it seems that she's lived a
pretty decent life so far. Well, I
know how hard it is to make the
decision to help a friend over
Bridge. But, hopefully, your baby
isn't ready for that yet.

If Buffy is in pain while urinating,
she will make 'unpleasant' sounds.
That thick white stuff that B is
excreting is called bladder sludge.
My Brownie Bear is a sludge
piggie too. If you rub some of the
sludge in between two fingers, it
will feel gritty. The calcium crystals
are gritty. And those crystals will
irritate the lining of the bladder,
which causes the piggie pain.

So, if you can, try and get a pain
medication for your Buffy. I keep
Metacam on hand and I give my
B-Bear .25 cc once a day (because
she suffers with bladder stones/sludge).
The Metacam helps relieve the pain.
If a piggie is in pain, he/she will be
reluctant to eat.

I hope your Buffy is Okay. I will say
a Special Prayer for her tonight.

      Love 'n Wheeeeeeeps,
Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear &
                  Butterscotch
