Gwen- I may have mentioned before about another piggie site 
  I'd found (which I won't name here), that wasn't nearly as nice
  as ours is.  In fact, it was much like you describe the poodle
  site you found.  Too bad, they are missing out on so much
  by being that way.
  Actually, I've found a similar situation between cavy shows 
  and dog and horse shows - the folks at the cavy shows are
  all so friendly and helpful. When we first arrived with a little
  pet carrier and a couple of non-descript piggies, we were
  welcomed every bit as much as when we arrive with several
  cavy carriers of pedigreed pigs. Wonderful folks, just like
  on here - must be tthe piggies!
