Mieke,

A big piggy welcome to your lovely new Himalayan piggy, Dunya. Does her name mean something in Dutch? That was a lovely story about the introductions with Lotje and Guiny and I'm sure that they will soon be the best of friends, once Dunya has settled in.

I have had garden pens connected by drainpipes in the past but my pens are made of galvanised wire and it is not too hard to cut a circle in the wire with a pair of secateurs ( garden cutters for pruning ), file down the rough edges and insert a piece of pipe. Would wire cutters go through the hard plastic coated wire of your cages? I'm not sure. Maybe a small hacksaw?

Silver agouti is the right name for this colour in English. I have had some lovely pigs of this colour in the past and it is very pretty. My piggy, Crystal, is a white US teddy and although her coat looks the same as her friend, Toffee, who is a Rex, it is very soft and silky when you touch her. Crystal came from someone who has started breeding teddies in England but she came to me via Cavies Castle because Crystal was born with a slight head tilt, which made her unsuitable for breeding. She is gorgeous and is one of the fastest piggies that I have ever met.

Liz,

I enjoyed Baisil's story of his first encounter with Dot, to whom all the Piggyfriends extend a warm welcome. I'm so glad that Baisil has a new friend.

Glynis,

Great news that Duke has gained some weight and that your mum has volunteered to look after him while you are away. Rest assured that we will all do anything that we can to help during your holiday. If you had lived near me, Duke could have come and stayed with the Piggyfriends. They would have enjoyed having a visitor!
I will finish my rescue story before you go away but have to go out now so it may have to wait until tomorrow.

Love to everypig and everyone from Penny and the Piggyfriends.
