My first post. I hope I got it right!

Mishy my youngest GP (male) aged 3 has just developed his 3rd urinary infection since June. Before he's has antibiotics and it has cleared up after a few days. This time the vet x-rayed him and found 1 large and 1 small bladder stone. She says surgery is the only option, also there is no medication I can give him to prevent new stones (according to her) She didn't seem all that clued-up to be honest. I was charged 75 pounds for the x-ray. Is this normal? I'm worried about the surgery, as he is underweight she says his chances are about 80% of making it though. What should I do?

In between times he is very lively indeed and always seems interested in food. He prefers green stuff to pellets or feed.

Can anyone recommend a vet who knows whats what, in or near Leicester (UK)

Thanks v much.
