Hello Slaves!
Wow, this has been a rough couple
of days. I woke up in the middle
of the night on Sunday night, well
actually Monday morning at 4:30am
and checked on the pigs. Well,
Brownie Bear has been a little
cranky for the past wheeek, but I
didn't think much of that since
she is 'The Brownie Bear'. Well, I
noticed that her back legs were
sort of dragging and she hopped
with them. So, I gave her a whole
50mg Vit C tablet and then I had
an Emergency Brownie Bear Power
Hour (water syringing session). I
stayed up with her for about 3
hours and watched her. And then I
grabbed a blankie & comforter and
slept on the floor with the pigs.

So, yesterday (Tuesday), it seemed
like one leg was better, but the
other still dragged a little. So,
I set up our extra Marchioro 120 cage
and put it on our cocktail table
and slept on the couch beside it
so I could keep an eye on her all
night. She didn't complain much
about being in the cage because she
wasn't meant to be a free-range pig
(like Butterscotch).

So, this morning, both of her legs
seem to be better (Whew!). As many
of you know, I had taken the Vit C
supplement out of her diet back in
mid-November because I suspected that
it was one of the causes of her bladder
stones. So, now, I realize that I can't
completely take the Vit C supplement
out of her diet. But, I'm going to try
and figure out the least amount I can
give her to keep those back legs in
check. And on the days I give it
to her, I will syringe her even More
water. That's all I can do. I feel
like my Poor Brownie Bear truly is
a guinea pig...

    Love 'n Wheeeeeeeeeps,
       Leah...Slave to Brownie Bear
                 & Butterscotch :-)
