Dear Leah

I am so sorry to hear that the gorgeous Brownie Bear is having trouble
with her back legs. Some years ago, my little Dominic had a similar
problem, and what I did for him was to massage his back legs gently
every time I picked him up...which was quite often. This just meant I
moved each back leg backwards and forwards about three times in the sort
of movement he would make if he had been running, but very slowly, and
taking all the weight. The following summer, he was running about on the
grass like he did before, but holding himself higher off the ground, so I
think it really did help him. Of course, if there's any protests, stop
at once.

What I also do for piggies with feet/leg problems is to put bubble wrap
under their floor (under newspaper on top and kitchen paper under that)
making sure they can't get to eat it. Not only does this conserve heat
(I know, yours and mine are both indoor piggies anyway), but it makes the
floor just that little bit cushioned.

I would like to say how much I enjoyed Butterscotch and Brownie Bear's
Christmas website. I emailed my brother to have a look, too. He said he
would like to have seen them unwrapping the presents, but I had to explain
to him that piggies can move very fast when it comes to opening presents
and you wouldn't have been able to photograph them doing that as it would
all have been over in a flash! It really is a lovely website, thank you
for letting us all share their Christmas festivities.

Hope the move went well and your are settled in happily. Looking forward
to seeing what Brownie Bear and Butterscotch are doing for Easter!

Best wishes

Kay
