Amber,

In my experience, you need to first contact the Activity Director of the
nursing home if you want to bring your piggies in for giving therapy. Sometimes
the Activity Director then has to clear it with the administrators of the
institution. (The Director may want to make it more of an organized activity, where
the people who want to participate gather in a common room to see and pet the
piggies. In my case, they also showed my movies on a screen.) If you are
wanting to bring them to a children's hospital, contact the Child Life Specialist
or Play Therapist. Different places have different rules. My mom once worked in
the Pediatrics Department of a hospital as a Play Therapist, and she got
clearance to bring in a monkey! :)

Love and WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEPS,
