Hi all,
I just wanted to share this information with you. I found this
information on a dutch website which I regularly visit (www.knoevel.nl
;they are specialised in the satin disease(OD), and my piggy yaya is a
satin sow, she does not have the disease (yet) but i like to be
informed). It is a list of what they feed their piggies. I'm not sure if
it's totally correct (i still feel like a new slave) and it's a
translation, that doesn't help. So any comments on it would be welcome
(but i trust this site, the other information they have on it is very
useful and corresponds with what you guys tell us). What i really like
about it is that they list the effect of the veggies. I think this might
be useful if you have a piggy with either hard or soft defaction (in
other words, poo).
I hope i don't bore the piggy veterans too much with the long list ;-)
(I would just post the link if you all could speak dutch, it would save
a lot of space, but i don't think that's the case)

# = Absorbs moisture, recommended when your pig has soft defaction

Don't feed any lettuce, it contains hardly any vitamins, lots of fluid
and contains metals which are not healthy for a guinea pig
By the way they also have lists with calcium and fosfor levels, vitamin
C amounts and which plants are poisonous for piggies. But I think that
is probably on guinealinx (maybe this is too... in that case, sorry) and
i did enough translating for today.
