Mr. Picwick  (The 2nd) was hoping to make the road trip from Essex to  Oxford 
for what was sure to be THE wedding of the Season. However, his beloved  
Constance (Mrs. Picwick) has just announced that she is in " a  rather  delicate 
condition" and must refrain from all social engagements for the  duration of 
her confinement as befits a guinea pig of her social  standing.
 
Mrs. Picwick is renowned for her beautiful linen work and embroidery. She  
would be delighted to undertake the making of all the table linen needed for the 
 wedding banquet. 
 
Only the best Irish linen and Chinese silk would be used. Mrs. Picwick is  
happy to embroider the initials and familiy crests of the bride and groom on  
each table cloth and napkin. She would also like to include, as wedding favours, 
 linen hankerchiefs for all guests embroidered not only with the above  
details but with each guest's initials as well.
 
All would be provided as a wedding gift to the happy couple from the  
Picwicks of Essex as a mark of their affection and best wishes.
